published in 2015 by Editions du Panthéon, entitled "The Extraordinary Adventures

of Gilles Coaltar." This essay recounts, in a humorous and autobiographical

form, the mission entrusted by the Minister of Industry to the prefect and his sidekick, with the aim

of easing social tensions in Lorraine.

In a register of self-mockery, humor, seriousness, and biting irony, Paul Praxis recounts historical and biographical facts dating back more than 30 years. During this journey, go behind the scenes of a mediation. Follow the bureaucrat on a path strewn with pitfalls and visit the bowels of the earth, both literally and figuratively... 2. My historical novel "A Broken Life Transformed"

In this book, I delve into the history of the decade 1938-1948. Readers will follow a hero, a European 800-meter champion, who must overcome the persistent hatred of an SS commander to save his life and who, through his encounter with Florence, a Protestant from the Cévennes, will eventually discover the love that will transform him.

Luxembourg, 1938. David Schleck, a young European 800-meter champion, receives the honors of the Grand Duchess. He meets Rachel, a young Jewish woman, as Europe descends into Nazism. In May 1940, Germany invades Luxembourg. Hunted by Rolf Harter, a former racing rival turned SS officer who harbors a visceral hatred for stealing his victory, David flees to the Cévennes, in the unoccupied zone. There, he discovers the history of a region, a new love, and joins the Resistance.
Will he survive Rolf Harter's hunt? Has God abandoned him in this merciless war? Will he be able to rebuild his life and build a future with Florence?

David Schleck's life demonstrates a parallel between the athletics tracks and the Cévennes maquis for survival: endurance and resistance. A story of resilience, but also of love and a journey toward faith.
