READ THE PSALMS!

Who hasn't read Psalm 23? "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want..."

The Psalms are an endless source of poetry, a stimulating encouragement for our prayer life.

I have adapted the words of several of these psalms, respecting the original text as much as possible. But to make the rhythm of the phrases suitable for composing a song, slight adaptations are necessary, sometimes skipping a phrase and picking it up again later.

Paul Praxis

This is what I did, for example, for Psalm 91:

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'"
